Panel: 'Software Security in Mobile Communications'
Mobile communications is meanwhile recognized as part of the critical infrastructures of a country. In parallel, this communication is more and more subject to attacks, interception, phishing. Quite a number of such attacks exploit security gaps in the SW of mobile communications network and server equipment, therefore the security of that SW, the process of secure SW development and the skills of SW developers get more and more importance. On the other hand, mobile devices are evolving into open systems running ever more software from third parties and a growing developer community. This poses increasing threats to mobile networks, services, and users.
This panel / session intends to show and compare various approaches and research results for secure software throughout its lifecycle, and to discuss steps to move forward to ensure the Security of SW in mobile communications. Topics include:
